Call of Duty Modern Warfare season 3 release date REVEALED: New Warzone content next week

Call of Duty Modern Warfare season 3 release date has been announced today, with new COD and Warzone content dropping very soon.

The official Call of Duty Twitter account today (Friday April 3) revealed the release date for the next season of Modern Warfare and Warzone.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare season 3 will launch next week on Wednesday April 8 2020.

A start time was not revealed for the new Call of Duty season but major updates typically drop around 6pm UK time.

The first artwork for Call of Duty Modern Warfare season 3 was posted on Twitter alongside the message: “Season 3. 4.8.20. #Warzone #ModernWarfare”.

Leaks have already revealed some of the new content that COD fans can expect from Call of Duty Modern Warfare season 3.

It looks like the new Call of Duty season will bring with it two remade maps from post Call of Duty games.

These new playing fields are set to be Modern Warfare 3’s Village and Call of Duty 4’s Backlot.

While if past Call of Duty seasons are a barometer than Modern Warfare season 3 will likely have new 2v2 Gunfight and Ground War content.

Standard multiplayer should also be getting extra content while Warzone fans will be hoping for big things.

Valorant Twitch Drops time: Get Valorant beta keys today watching Twitch Rivals

Today will be the first time gamers will have the chance to score a Valorant Closed Beta key by watching Twitch. As revealed earlier this year, Riot Games is teaming up with Twitch for sign ups, meaning you’ll need a Twitch account for an opportunity to play. This means registering for a Riot account, link your Riot account to a Twitch account, and then watching specific Valorant streams highlighted on Twitch.

The first of these will be held as part of the Twitch Rivals Valorant Showcase, which is scheduled to be held today, April 3, 2020.

A message from Twitch confirms: “Twitch Rivals will showcase 5v5 matches from content creators who got a chance to try out VALORANT and recorded their perspective.

“On Friday, some of those Twitch streamers will play back their perspective of the match, in realtime, together. The /TwitchRivals broadcast will jump from perspective to perspective to showcase the full match.

“Select Twitch streams will be eligible for Drops beginning on April 3, so link your Twitch Account & Riot Games Account for the opportunity to get exclusive Closed Beta Access starting on April 7th.

“Look for the “Drops Enabled” tag, as well as the “Drops are enabled! Continue watching” text below the stream for verified Drops enabled channels.”

As mentioned above, gamers will need to be watching one of the streams with a Drops Enabled tag assigned to it.

And it should also be noted that a limited number of Closed Beta keys will be available to those tuning in, so not everyone will be guaranteed a chance.

It should also be noted that only certain regions will be able to join in on the Valorant closed beta when it kicks off next week.

This means you will need to be playing from either Canada, United States, Russia, Turkey, or Europe.

However, more regions are expected to be added ahead of the full Summer release of Valorant.

WHAT TIME DOES THE VALORANT TWITCH RIVALS SHOWCASE START?

According to the latest news from Twitch and Riot Games, the new Valorant Twitch Drops event will begin at 10am PT, on the streaming service.

This will mean Twitch Rivals kicking off at 6pm GMT for gamers in the UK, with another event being held on April 7.

This first wave of matches will be EMEA Creators, including Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions.

The match schedule will feature best-of-1 matches in each region, and all Twitch Partners are welcome to co-stream the Twitch Rivals broadcast.

It should be noted that another wave of Twitch Rivals Creator Matches will be kicking off today at the later time of 1:30pm PT.

This second wave of matches will feature North American Creator Matches.

The Last of Us Part 2 release delay: PS4 gamers miss out on May date

The news that The Last of Us 2 release date would be delayed again in 2020 was confirmed by Sony today, via a message shared on the tech giant’s social media channels.

The reason behind the new delay is the Coronavirus, which has led to many events and releases being pushed back or cancelled.

And unfortunately for PS4 gamers, developers Naughty Dog have not provided an updated schedule, merely leaving that information blank.

“SIE has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel’s Iron Man VR until further notice,” the message from Sony reads.

“Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.”

Sony added that they had no other information on other games being delayed due to the current world situation but that doesn’t rule out further news being shared in the future.

“Currently, there are no other delays to report, but we’ll keep you updated,” the message from Sony adds.

Fears have been growing that the PS5 release date could also be pushed back, however, Sony has so far ruled out such a thing happening in 2020.

Naughty Dog released its own statement on the situation, confirming that they had made a good amount of progress on The Last of Us Part 2.

“As you’ve likely just seen, the release of The Last of Us Part 2 has been delayed. We’re sure this news is just as disappointing to you as it is to us,” the message from Naughty Dog adds.

“The good news is, we’re nearly done with the development of The Last of Us Part II. We are in the midst of fixing our final bugs.”

However, while everything is moving smoothly with the final stages of game development, the logistical issues faced by the Coronavirus means that Naughty Dog have been forced to push back the big release.

It appears that problems with launching the game globally would have been an underlying problem and is the main reason why The Last of Us Part 2 will not be available to play in May 2020.

“We want to make sure that everyone gets to play The Last of Us Part 2 around the same time,” the message from Naughty Dog adds.

More news regarding the final launch plans for The Last of Us Part 2 are expected to be shared in the coming months by Sony.

GTA 6 fans dealt blow as reveal wait for next Grand Theft Auto rumbles on

GTA 6 fans eagerly looking forward to the reveal of the next Grand Theft Auto title from Rockstar Games have been handed a blow. It has been over six and a half years since the last GTA game – Grand Theft Auto 5 – was released back in September 2013. As it stands, GTA fans are currently enduring the longest wait ever for a new Grand Theft Auto game with no end seemingly in sight.

And as the wait for the reveal of the next Grand Theft Auto rumbles on fans looking forward to the GTA 6 announcement have been dealt a blow.

The rumour mill in recent weeks has been set abuzz by claims that Rockstar Games were about to announce GTA 6.

These claims emerged after cryptic posts from GTAForums member gonnaenodaethat sparked speculation as well as an alleged 4chan leak.

However, the two dates that were mooted for possible GTA 6 reveals in March came and went without any word on the next Grand Theft Auto.

  • GTA 6 SHOCK news: Grand Theft Auto London gets nod over Vice City

And this week more alleged GTA 6 news with a Twitch channel being started allegedly counting down to the Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal.

The twitch.tv/gtavi stream generated huge interest, with over 125,000 views as the broadcast allegedly ticked down the clock till an announcement.

However, as eagle eyed fans would have spotted, this alleged GTA 6 reveal was happening on April 1 – April Fool’s Day.

And now the channel simply says a message confirming that it was not showing a legit stream.

It says: “Hello, thank you for tuning into our GTA VI project.

“This has been the product of multiple people with a shared love of the Grand Theft Auto series.

“We did not expect it to get this huge and we deeply apologise to Rockstar Games for misleading the dedicated fans who also love this series.

“We want to use this time to appreciate the series and also the incredible fans.

“Thank you for tuning in. We are sure GTA VI is in the works and we cannot wait.”

Elsewhere, another alleged leak turned up this week – this time claiming GTA 6 was announced during a presentation by Rockstar Games.

Shared in a post on the GTA 6 Reddit page, alleged details on GTA 6 were revealed alongside a blurry image that is claimed to be of the game.

The Redditor, whose only post on the site was about the alleged leak, claimed they managed to take a picture of the game despite “strict conditions”.

However the thread now features a ‘debunked’ label on it after the screenshot features a location name that uses a font that can be downloaded easily.

This font is the same that was used in the original Grand Theft Auto Vice City, leading the GTA 6 Reddit page to believe the ‘leak’ is a fake.

So, another week and more fake GTA 6 claims emerge. Which begs the question when could news on the next Grand Theft Auto actually drop?

There are murmurs that Sony could hold a PS5 reveal event in April, and if that’s the case it may get announced then.

That is if those rumours about Sony paying huge money to secure timed exclusive rights to GTA 6 are true.

Or, alternatively, we might be waiting some time until the first GTA 6 announcement from Rockstar Games comes.

Kotaku journalist Jason Schreier was asked on Twitter whether a reveal on GTA 6 would be happening soon.

And the Kotaku news editor responded: “I don’t expect news on the next GTA for a while”.

Animal Crossing New Horizons update 1.1.2 PATCH NOTES: Nintendo fixes HUGE Switch problem

Animal Crossing New Horizons has been given a big new update for Nintendo Switch.

The latest and greatest Animal Crossing game can now be updated to version 1.1.2.

As you can see from the patch notes below, Animal Crossing New Horizons update 1.1.2 fixes one or two huge problems.

According to the translated patch notes, this includes a problem with plots of land glitching out for players.

Unfortunately, the patch notes aren’t currently available in English, which means you’ll have to read the translated notes instead.

The update launches around the same time as the Bunny Day event. Despite the name, the Bunny Day event runs for almost two weeks until April 12.

Bunny Day gives fans a chance to hunt for Easter eggs, and to craft egg decorations and items.

A further update will be available later this month, and just in time for Earth Day.

Animal Crossing New Horizons update 1.1.2 translated patch notes in full…

• Under certain conditions, animals that had been invited to move from another island did not move and the vacant land to be relocated remained closed.

 – After the renewal, the land that has been closed will return to uncontracted and you will be able to relocate new animals.

 – We are very sorry, but animals that were scheduled to migrate at the time of the malfunction will not return to the original island and will not be migrated this time.

• Fixed a bug that caused Tom Nook to stop asking the Islanders under certain conditions to secure construction land for new migrants.

 – After the update, if the island has evolved to a certain state (if the raccoon store is under construction or completed), a specific event will occur during the next island play during the islander’s broadcast.

• Fixed a bug where deleting a user under certain conditions would make it impossible to apply for relocation of homes and facilities.

 – After updating, you can apply for relocation again.

• Fixed an issue where purchasing items from Lodley on an outlying island on a tour going out on “Mile Ricoken” would reduce the money you own along with the miles.

• Several other bugs have been fixed.

The new Animal Crossing whisks players off to a tropical island as part of the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package.

“If the hustle and bustle of modern life’s got you down, Tom Nook has a business venture up his sleeve that he knows you’ll adore: his brand-new, ultra-exclusive Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package!” reads the official description.

“Sure, you’ve crossed paths with colourful characters near and far. Had a grand old time as one of the city folk.

“May’ve even turned over a new leaf and dedicated yourself to public service! But deep down, isn’t there a part of you that just longs for…freedom? A chance to do what you want, when you want? Then perhaps a long walk on the beach of a deserted island, where a rich wealth of untouched nature awaits, is just what the doctor ordered!

“Peaceful creativity and charm await as you roll up your sleeves and make your new life whatever you want it to be.”

Players can customise their homes by scavenging materials, crafting upgrades and purchasing items from the in-game shop.

That’s on top of all the usual activities like fishing, bug catching and growing plants and crops.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date update: Bad news for PS4 fans ahead of launch

Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans have been dealt a blow ahead of the game’s April 10 release date.

With some physical copies going out to pre-order customers early, new details have emerged about the upcoming role-playing game.

As pointed out by DualShockers, the back of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake box seemingly confirms the file size.

And it’s bad news if you’re running low on hard drive space, because the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is said to weigh in at a massive 100GB.

Fortunately, however, Square Enix appears to have brought the pre-load date forward for Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Fans who have pre-ordered a digital copy from the PlayStation Store will be able to start downloading the game from April 3.

This gives customers a week to install the game on the PS4 ready for launch.

It’s especially handy with Sony reducing download speeds for the PlayStation Network during the coronavirus lockdown.

If you’re on the fence about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, then it might be worth downloading the recently released PS4 game demo.

Available as a free PS4 download, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo drops players into the early stages of the game.

“The new demo features a lengthy segment from the very beginning of the game: the iconic bombing mission against the Shinra Electric Power Company, and the subsequent escape,” reads a PlayStation Blog post.

“You’ll control two of the game’s cast – spiky-haired ex-SOLDIER Cloud Strife, and the ballistically-limbed Barret Wallace – and enact a dangerous plan to infiltrate and destroy Mako Reactor 1.”

The mission culminates with a battle against the iconic Scorpion Sentinel. Unlike the original game, however, this battle won’t be over quickly.

“When you reach your target, you’ll encounter the Scorpion Sentinel. It may be the first boss of the game, but don’t expect this mechanical monstrosity to give you an easy ride,” the post continues.

“If you manage to beat it, don’t think you can relax – you still have to escape from the complex before it collapses around you. But did you give yourself long enough to do so…?”

If you’ve played the demo and want to know more about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, then you should check out Express Online’s early verdict.

Teamfight Tactics 10.7 update: TFT patch notes for Mobile and PC

A new Teamfight Tactics update has been deployed and includes many big changes to Mobile and PC platforms. As confirmed in the TFT patch notes, Galaxies mechanics have been revamped, while Champions have been given an eye-catching change.

A message from Riot Games adds: “One patch in and things are looking good in the Galaxies.

“The big highlight of this patch: introducing the new set mechanic into the wild. Three new “Galaxies” bring with them unique rules that will force you to adapt your tried and true strategies.

“On the balance front, we’re taking some power from the premier Tier 5 units.

“They’re supposed to be strong—and still will be—but they’re currently functioning too well without team support (looking at you GP). Don’t underestimate the power of the Dark Star, as they’re getting a fancy little rework to help their consistency.

“And, perhaps the most important change, your champions will now celebrate with you when you win a round.”

Allowing Champions to celebrate when you win a round will be the thing that most TFT players will notice first.

Reports coming in from gamers tonight suggest that Rainbow Six Siege servers are down across platforms.

Ubisoft has provided an update on the situation, confirming that issues have been flagged tonight.

It appears tonight’s problems are not just affecting Rainbow Six Siege, with Ubisoft confirming problems across games.

It also appears to be an issue affecting Ubisoft titles on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The latest news from Ubisoft explains: “Hello everyone. We’re aware of an issue currently affecting connectivity and are working towards resolving this.
