Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord Patch Notes For April 1 Update

TaleWorlds Entertainment has released another patch for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, which is now out via Steam Early Access. This patch follows on the heels of a day one update and day two patch, the latter of which addresses a pesky bug that was affecting the Rival Gangs quest.

Like the March 31 patch, the April 1 patch for Bannerlord addresses a bunch of bugs that have been causing the game to crash. The patch doesn’t focus on any one quest though–instead it addresses several problems associated with both Bannerlord’s single-player campaign and multiplayer modes. The full patch notes are listed below.

“We know that many of you are experiencing issues that are preventing you from enjoying the game right now, for which we are very sorry,” TaleWorld wrote in a blog post. “With the help of you, our community, we are finding and fixing these issues and pushing updates out as soon as we can. Unfortunately, as was the case with [the March 31] patch, this [April 1 patch] may result in previous save files becoming unplayable for some people. We will always try to ensure that your save game remains compatible with each update, however, sometimes this will not be possible.”

Despite the pressing need for further bug fixes, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is Steam’s biggest release of 2020. Within its first day, the medieval action RPG managed enough sales to propel it into the top 10 games on Steam, only trailing behind Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord April 1 Update Patch Notes

  • Some of the crashes from older saves are fixed and these saves can be used again. (especially caused by fencing stolen goods & rival gang leader quests).
  • Enabled Steam cloud saves.
  • A bug that was preventing some players (especially Windows 7 users) from logging into the multiplayer lobby has been fixed. There may be further issues in this regard. We are investigating the matter.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when entering a custom battle.
  • Various localisation fixes. Some texts are only in English due to lacking localisation tags. Now they can be updated by translators and will be added to the game soon.
  • Some variable texts were not shown correctly. Some of them are fixed, more will be fixed in upcoming patches.
  • Some Turkish translation corrections and typo fixes.
  • Fixed an AI-related issue that crashed the game.
  • Fixed an AI calculation error on aiming ranged weapons against mounted enemies.
  • Fixed launcher not being visible for some users.
  • Fixed errors and crashes after changing language in multiplayer.
  • Fixed encyclopedia faction “Part of” crash on creating player faction.
  • Hero crafting stamina is now saved. Loading does not restore stamina.
  • Localized text manager does not crash on invalid source file.
  • Fixed a crash that occurs in some towns when we try to take a walk.
  • Fixed a crash that occurs during a conversation with various characters.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred after activating the “Fencing Stolen Goods” quest.
  • Fixed a crash when creating a new hero. Mainly happened when opening a new campaign or having a baby.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when “Headman Needs Grain” issue time out.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when the player clan gained renown while the player character is a prisoner.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when a quest time out in Quest Manager.
  • A crash caused by initiating peace barter with heroes that do not have parties has been fixed.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when the player has created their own kingdom and the conspiracy progress quest starts.
  • Added notifications to certain parts of the Main Storyline.
  • Fixed a bug where using the ransom all prisoners button didn’t give roguery XP.
  • Removed ransoming prisoners’ trade skill gain.
  • Decreased ransoming prisoners’ roguery skill gain by 40%
  • An issue with the 3rd banner piece fixed.
  • Party initialization in Radagos’ Hideout is changed to a more stable version.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when selecting “You’re breaking the law.” option when the “Family Feud” quest is active.
  • Fixed quest NPC remains in the player’s clan at the end of the Family Feud quest bug.
  • Fixed quest NPC remains in the player’s clan at the end of the Lord Needs Tutor quest bug.
  • Fixed getting Family Feud quest NPC as a companion and progressing in Rebuild Your Clan quest bug.

  • Players that are at war with minor factions will now be able to join kingdoms even if the kingdom is not at war with that minor faction.
  • Fixed the bug where war state with factions that have been destroyed was not being cleared.
  • A crash related to successfully making peace through barter has been fixed.
  • Changed Strong Smith perk description to Controlled Smith
  • Fixed a charm skill exploit which happens in marriage barter.
  • Fixed a bug where companions were unable to be used after sending them to fix an issue.
  • If you have some troops outside of the hideout, you are no longer taken as a prisoner anymore when you lose an encounter.
  • Fixed a crash that occurs sometimes after a siege battle (after dying in siege battle, after go to defend in a siege, after trying to exit from a siege etc.)
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when the player tried to select & sell prisoners.
  • 200 cap removed from workshops.
  • Exploit at smithy and wood workshop is fixed.
  • Defection amounts of clans decreased.
  • Sally out probability decreased.
  • +1 base daily militia for villages removed.
  • Starving effect is halved for garrisons at fortifications.

Risk Of Rain 2 PC Patch Notes: Big Update Adds New Artifacts System

The team behind the roguelite shooter Risk of Rain 2 has released a major new update for the game. This patch introduces the “Artifacts” system from the original Risk of Rain to its sequel, rare items that modify play significantly. For example, in the original Risk of Rain, the Artifact of Honor caused only elite enemies to spawn. According to the patch notes, the developers expect these artifacts to radically increase the game’s replayability.

The update also overhauls the game’s UI and fixes a bundle of bugs, including some unfortunate late-game crashes. The team also overhauled some of the game’s playable characters by introducing new variant skills and skins. The patch is currently live only on PC–according to the notes, it will be coming to consoles in the near future.

This new patch follows the game’s last major content update, which caught up the console versions to the PC update that rolled out in December. That patch added the melee-focused character Acrid, as well as some new biomes, enemies, and loot.

As part of this major content drop, the developers of the game are asking the community to vote on which survivor should be added to the game next. To participate, fans must join the game’s official Discord server from March 31 to April 7 and vote in a poll. These survivors are all characters from the original Risk of Rain, including the shield-bearing Enforcer, the gunslinging Bandit, and the sharpshooting Sniper. Red Dead Redemption 2: Explaining Guarma, Its Most Bizarre Chapter

Rockstar has delivered some of the most compelling and unforgettable interactive experiences in gaming. While Grand Theft Auto V may still be the highest-grossing entertainment product of all time, Red Dead Redemption 2 remains the developer’s magnum opus. By serving as both a worthy prequel to the first game and the harrowing history of the Van der Linde gang, this action-packed and emotional thrill-ride of a Western still continues to leave fans speechless.

The best proof of this is witnessed in one of the most unexpected divergences in the game’s narrative. Though every section may have its own momentous experience, Chapter 5 is itself a mindblowing segue and departure from the ongoing events of Red Dead Redemption 2. Forget Tahiti, Arthur and the boys instead get some much-needed sunshine and a small taste for revolution on an island getaway known as Guarma.

Following a Saint Denis bank heist gone array and a tropical storm that shipwrecks him off the coast of Cuba, Arthur awakens on an island paradise stranded far, far away from the American midwest. Soon thereafter, he and the surviving Van der Linde gang are thrust into a political revolution on the island, wherein rum and sugar reign supreme. In order to get back to America and rejoin the rest of the gang, Arthur, Dutch, Bill, Javier, and Micah must assist the plantation rebels, led by Hercule Fontaine, in thwarting the Cuban Navy’s presence on the island.

This is one of the many examples of what Red Dead does better than GTA V: displaying real-world stakes and consequences that the player must now overcome for the sake of survival. It’s also where the true colors of the gang’s leader, Dutch Van der Linde, are laid bare in all their darkness. With persistent fear and paranoia gnawing at his soul, in addition to the pressure of leading a gang now spread across the western hemisphere, Dutch must come to grips with the failures he has perpetuated. And, like all sociopaths, he points his finger elsewhere, blaming John Marston for their predicament, which only highlights the true menace lurking within.

One of the most eye-opening conversations occurs on the island, mere moments before Dutch strangles an elderly woman in cold blood. Dutch and Arthur exchange the following words:

“Dutch: I will do whatever it takes for us to survive.

Arthur: I guess that’s what I’m afraid of…”

Many argue that the Gurama section is masterful in both a storytelling and gameplay perspective, given that it both surprises the player and perfectly encapsulates Red Dead’s main themes: isolation, revolt, and brutal survival. Cut off from the world they know and love, both literally and figuratively, in the form of a dawning new age and on an island in the middle of nowhere, the Van der Linde gang must saddle up to a completely new set of ideals and must fight someone else’s war rather than their own.

This heartbreaking change of pace in Red Dead Redemption 2 is also often criticized for its upending of the less-story centric gameplay mechanics, such as horseback riding and hunting. Still, while Chapter 5 may be devoid of the arsenal players had been acquiring long before the shipwreck, it stands testament to the mechanics of pure survival. Chapter 5, akin to John’s traversal into Mexico in the original Red Dead Redemption, is not just a change of scenery but a challenge for both the character and the player alike.

While it may have its detractors, Guarma’s introduction in Red Dead Redemption 2 is a much-needed escape, one that propels Van der Linde’s faults to the forefront of Arthur’s attention and also does well by drawing the player free from the western landscape. This middle-ground is the game’s punctuation point, the moment in the narrative where every player knew the story wasn’t going to end in happily-ever-after. Fontaine’s insurrection serves as the perfect parallel to Dutch’s inability to adapt to the law-abiding age, and while players may not get to see what eventually happens to the revolutionists, much like the Van der Linde gang itself, they most certainly crumbled under Cuban Naval bombardment.

After all, there are no happy endings on the Red Dead frontier.

Sony Delays The Last Of Us 2 Indefinitely

Sony has announced it is delaying the launch of The Last of Us 2 indefinitely, saying in a tweet that the global crisis caused by the coronavirus is “preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.”

Developer Naughty Dog issued its own statement on Twitter as well. In it, the studio said that while it’s in the final stretches of development, there are logistical issues that will prevent it from ensuring the best experience, including a simultaneous global launch.

“We were bummed about this decision but ultimately understood it’s what’s best and fair to all of our players,” the statement reads. “We’re hoping that this won’t be a long delay and we’ll update you as soon as we have new information to share.”

This follows another release date delay that had pushed the game’s release until May 2020, not long after it had been announced for February. (Prior to that, it was due out last year.) This latest delay has no release date attached, but unlike others, it’s not due to extra development time. Sony has previously said that the coronavirus pandemic shouldn’t impact the release of the PlayStation 5, which is also due this year. Presently, The Last of Us 2 is only slated for release on PS4.

The announcement from Sony also noted that Marvel’s Iron Man VR is similarly delayed until further notice.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster Now Available On PS4

Following a series of leaks, the remastered campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out now on PS4 for $20. There was no advanced official word from Activision; this was seemingly meant to be a surprise release, but that was spoiled in a number of ways–including the full campaign being published on YouTube before the game went live. It’s available first on PS4 and will release for Xbox One and PC on April 30.

As noted above, this remaster consists solely of the campaign–there’s no multiplayer functionality, presumably in part to avoid siphoning players away from the likes of 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone.

Depending on your platform, the game supports up to 4K resolution and HDR on consoles; those on PC can also enjoy ultrawide support and uncapped framerates. In terms of specific improvements, Activision says the game boasts “improved texture resolution and detail, revamped animation, remastered audio, and much more.” Developer Beenox is responsible for the remastered version.

Buying the remaster entitles you to the free Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost bundle for use in CoD: Modern Warfare and Warzone. It consists of several cosmetics and more:

Prisma 2 cases and Chlorine and Anubis maps added in CSGO update

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) developers rolled out an update adding new maps Chlorine and Anubis, removing Shattered Web, and introducing Prisma 2 cases. Additionally, Valve released miscellaneous game fixes. To the community’s dismay, Valve hasn’t addressed concerns regarding Krieg (SG-553) nerfs or game performance. Despite that, the community has shown positive feedback in response to the update.

New maps

Valve introduced two new community maps, Chlorine and Anubis. The maps have officially been added to the scrimmage matchmaking pool and casual game modes.

Anubis is the grand finalist winner of Mapcore’s 2019 Exotic Places map contest. Designed by Roald, Jakuza, and jd40, Anubis reflects an Egyptian backdrop.

Set in a dilapidated water park, Chlorine features sunset lighting and draws influence from Mayan temples. Designed by Lizard and TheWhaleMan, Chlorine is Mapcore’s 2019 Exotic Places second-place winner.

Prisma 2 Collection

CSGO introduced the Prisma 2 Collection, showcasing 17 community-made weapon skins. Furthermore, the cases have a chance to contain rare Horizon Knives in Chroma finishes. Valve says the inspirations behind Prisma 2’s weapons are anime and manga. At release, Prisma 2 cases were selling for over $20 USD. Since then, 700 cases have been added to the market, lowering the price to around $7-$8 USD.

Fan favorites include Bullet Queen (Glock-18), Darkwing (SG-552), and Player Two (M4A1-S). The standard CT rifle has earned massive attention, featuring stylized versions of Pop Dog and GIGN counter-terrorist. Moreover, the latest collection has players eager to unbox the vaporwave-inspired Disco Tech MAC-10 skin.

Players have a chance to unbox Horizon Knives, originally released inside the Horizon Case. However, this time around, the knives have Chroma finishes.

Goodbye, Shattered Web

Operation Shattered Web wrapped up yesterday. The historic operation implemented never-before-seen player model skins, which were a topic of controversy after release. Players were able to earn limited-time rewards including special weapon skins, agents, stickers, and more. Since its removal, Shattered Web awards have skyrocketed in price on the Steam Market.

The Division 2 Releases A New Rogue Agent For Warlords Of New York Season One

The Division 2 has released another Rogue Agent as part of Warlords of New York Season One. The latest target you’re tasked with hunting down is Venus, the second of five total targets that are set to appear throughout the season.

Taking down the first four Rogue Agents will lead to the discovery of your prime target, Jupiter. To draw Venus out, you’ll need to head to Downtown East, Federal Triangle, Judiciary Square, and the Pentagon to complete missions, control points, and bounties. Once all of the objectives in each area have been cleared, you’ll receive a new bounty leading to a fight with your newest adversary.

From her profile, we learn that Venus was a doctor in the Division before turning rogue. On her way out she stole some supplies and killed the Division agents that were sent after her, so not exactly the greatest bedside manner.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft dropped a patch for The Division 2 that introduced some significant balance changes to health and damage, among a number of other fixes. You can read the full patch notes here.

The Division 2 was awarded a score of 9/10 in GameSpot’s review. Edmond Tran said, “The range of enemy types continues to keep combat encounters challenging, the equipment I earn and pick up continues to feel different, valuable, and asks me to consider new ways of play. The ravaged environments continue to intrigue, and sometimes they’re so stunning I find myself needing to take screenshots before I move on. It might not have much to say, but The Division 2 is a perpetual cycle of tension, relief, and reward that’s difficult to stay away from.”

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Leak Was Real [Update]

Update: After a series of leaks and rumors, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is out now on PlayStation 4. The surprise launch includes only a remastered campaign for Modern Warfare 2, and not multiplayer–those who purchase will also get a nice bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, which comes with some cosmetic items, weapon blueprints, and more.

A remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is indeed real, according to a PSN listing in Germany. It’s also set to launch far sooner than you might expect, with the revitalized campaign scheduled for tomorrow, March 31. It will retail for 25€ (which equates to just under $30).

The remaster was leaked previously thanks to a ratings listing on a South Korean Ratings board, after having been rumored to be in development since the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in 2018. Files pertaining to the remaster were then datamined out of the latest patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare over the weekend, before the trailer and release date leaked on PSN in Germany before any official announcement.

The remaster includes only the campaign of Modern Warfare 2, which continues the story of Soap MacTavish and Captain Price, and features the infamous “No Russian” mission. Although the remaster won’t include multiplayer like the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remaster in 2016, some Modern Warfare 2 maps have already been added to 2019’s Modern Warfare.

The listing on PSN states that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered (its official title) features “completely remastered with improved textures, animations, physical rendering, HDR lighting, and more.”

Back in 2009, our Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 review scored the shooter a 9/10, with critic Chris Watters describing it as a, “thoroughly excellent package that is sure to thrill shooter fans and deprive them of sleep for months to come.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered cut scenes and gameplay leak

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is already finished and 60 new maps are coming to Modern Warfare suggest the latest rumours.

This is all getting a bit silly at this point. It’s only Tuesday morning as we type this and already there have been three Call Of Duty leaks, and considering the accuracy of all the preceding ones there’s a very good chance these are true too.

Many are beginning to suspect that Activision is purposefully orchestrating some or all of these leaks, in order to increase the hype, with the much-anticipated release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered today still not officially announced.

Many of the rumours come from Twitter user TheGamingRevolution, and even they seem suspicious at Activision’s role in all this, just as they leak videos including all of the remaster’s cut scenes and some significant chunks of gameplay.

We’re not sure how long those videos are going to stay up but the same source has a number of other interesting titbits, including the fact that the multiplayer mode for the remaster was completed some time ago and may still be released at a later date.

Apparently, Activision didn’t want to release it now as they don’t want to split the player-base of last year’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is fairly reasonable.

Instead, there is allegedly a plan to release the maps, and maps from several other previous games, for the Modern Warfare reboot (all these Modern Warfare subtitles are getting mighty confusing).

Supposedly, Modern Warfare will become a ‘best of’ Modern Warfare games and will end up with around 60 multiplayer maps by the end, although no doubt there’ll only be released in ones and twos rather than all at the same time.

It’s also suggested that work on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is already finished, but there’s no indication of when it will be released.

However, TheGamingRevolution seems adamant that this year’s new mainline Call Of Duty, whatever it is (most rumours point towards Black Ops 5), will still be out around Christmas and revealed relatively soon.

And just as an extra bonus of news the Trophies list for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered has ‘leaked’ via PSNProfiles. Because of course it has.

Everything currently points towards Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered being released later today, or if not at least sometime this week.
