You Need To Check Out This Incredible Fallout New Vegas Graphics Mod

Really, it would be ideal to have a remastered version of Fallout New Vegas, but that’s probably never going to happen. However, what we do have is one very good mod that might as well be a remaster.

It’s been ten years since one of the best Fallout games game out, and we haven’t stopped thinking about it since. The story of the Fallout universe is second to none, but it was taken to a whole new level when we were introduced to New Vegas. We got to see more of the New Republic, fight some neo-Romans (or side with them), and explore a world that was partially untouched by the bombs.

Of course, the visual side of things has not stood the test of time very well. Enter Kuzja80,  A modder who decided to take things into their own hands and rework the graphics—and boy, did they do a fantastic job of it. Here are some screens:

All of this was accomplished by improving alpha channels, upscaling maps, and providing seamless textures. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that this texture pack doesn’t change or improve any of the lighting, so don’t expect anything crazythere. But hey, that’s the beauty of mods – you can often use a bunch of them at the same time.

All-in-all, this is a texture pack that’s worth checking out. The file size is only 16GB, but it packs a huge punch to the quality of your experience.

New Vegas was the last (and only) Fallout game developed by Obsidian rather than Bethesda, which could be why the game stands out among fans. Despite Obsidian saying that it would be interested in developing another Fallout game, it doesn’t seem likely that it will ever happen. So, we are going to have to satisfy ourselves with a modified New Vegas and trips to the Halcyon universe, which gives off serious Fallout vibes.
