You Can Now Play The Entirety Of Red Dead Redemption 2 In VR Thanks To New Mod
For those wanting to fully immerse themselves in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, you can now play the entire game in VR.
This new VR experience comes from modder Luke Ross who also released a VR mod for GTA V not too long ago. The Red Dead Redemption 2 mod will allow you to play the entire game in VR in either first or third-person. According to Ross, the project took around six months of solid work to complete, and that the modder wants to release similar VR mods for other titles including Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
However, the only way to actually access this mod is to support Luke Ross’ Patreon account. For a monthly fee of £8/$10, you’ll be able to download the Red Dead Redemption 2 mod as well as any future updates from Ross as long as you remain a member. You” also be able to receive assistance to install the mod if needed as well as assistance for any problems you run into.
And of course, with any fan-made mod, you will almost definitely run into at least a few minor issues here and there. However, keep in mind that Ross made this mod single-handedly and is likely willing to help you get past any big issues if you’re a member of his Patreon account. The most notable issues so far are shown in the video above, including a significant amount of object clipping.
In other Rockstar-related news, the developer is looking to reveal some surprises to celebrate GTA 3’s 20th anniversary. Rockstar recently revealed the release date of the next-gen versions of GTA V, teasing fans of GTA 3 by also announcing that it has some “fun surprises” in the wings. What these surprises are is still unknown, but we do know that at least one of these “surprises” is for players of GTA Online.
Could a remaster of GTA 3 be in the works over at Rockstar? With E3 just around the corner, it’s likely that we’ll find out sooner rather than later.
