Ubisoft promises month of free games, starting with Rayman Legends
If you want more free games to play during the coronavirus lockdown then Ubisoft has you covered, as long as you sign up for Uplay.
With so many people stuck at home at the moment, many companies have begun offering free games, or at least free trials, to keep you entertained.
Now Ubisoft is doing the same, with an offer to download Rayman Legends on PC for free until Saturday, 4 April.
You’ll need to create a Uplay account to play it but other than that, which you can do here, there are no strings attached.
Presumably the next game will become available from 5 April onwards, but Ubisoft hasn’t said what any of the other ones will be yet.
There is this page though, which details all their current free offers, including trials for the likes of Ghost Recon Breakpoint and older titles such as The Crew 2 and The Division.
‘We have put together a monthlong series of offers, trials, and discounts to help everyone who is following health authorities’ guidance by staying at home,’ says Ubisoft.
‘Whether you need a way to keep active, socialise with friends at a distance, or just stay entertained, we want to help.’
As with almost all these free offers though the download is only for PC. It’s not clear why, but it may be due to restriction enforced by console manufacturers such as Sony and Microsoft.
