Tom Holland Wants To Team With Florence Pugh In The MCU
Spider-Man: No Way Home has now been in cinemas for almost a week which means for the most part, Tom Holland can breathe a huge sigh of relief. The British actor has become a little infamous for letting little details slip ahead of time in the past, especially when it comes to the MCU. Now that No Way Home's secrets are out in the open, Holland can talk about his Marvel future.
Spoiler warning: If you haven't seen No Way Home and you don't want it spoiled, then stop reading here.
That future could well involve a number of heroes Holland's Spider-Man is yet to meet in the MCU. Kate Bishop, any of the Eternals that survived the group's debut movie, and perhaps even Florence Pugh's Yelena. That's who Holland seems most keen to work with in the future as he revealed in the video below courtesy of Entertainment Tonight.
“I want to to work with Florence Pugh,” Holland said. “I think a really cool Spider-Man, Black Widow movie would be a fun little twist.” Pugh debuted as Natasha Romanoff's sister Yelena in Black Widow and has returned to the role in episodes four and five of Hawkeye. Odds are she will have a big role to play in the series finale which will hit Disney+ in a matter of hours.
No Way Home has been the clearest indicator yet that the MCU's future is going to be very different from what fans have seen so far. Dr. Strange might have sealed up the multiverse and sent the various heroes and villans back to where they came from, but the next movie in the MCU is called The Multiverse Of Madness. More than a little hint that Strange's spell isn't going to be permanent.
There's also the possibility we haven't seen the last of the Spider-Men who returned for No Way Home. So many of those who saw the movie over the weekend took to Twitter to campaign for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 that it trended on Twitter. Exciting times for Marvel movie fans, and also for Holland who might not know which heroes he will meet next. No Way Home's producers probably do though, admitting that development on what's next for Spidey has already begun.
