These Items Are The Best Investments You Can Make On Nookazon

There are a bunch of different ways to get rich quick in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, from bug-catching to fishing to selling fossils to harvesting a literal money tree. But perhaps the best way to get rich quick is to use the power of the internet.

Nookazon is a fan-made website where you can buy and sell stuff to other New Horizons players much like how you’d do it in real life on sites like eBay or Craigslist. Only with Nookazon, you don’t have to worry about your item getting torn up in the mail.

You can make some serious scratch on Nookazon by selling almost anything, but there are a few items that rise above the rest. Personal finance blog SavingSpot decided to have a little fun and use some real-world investing analysis to see what items on Nookazon will give you the most Bells for your buck.

To find out, SavingSpot determined the items on Nookazon with the highest Return on Investment (ROI). To do that, they compared the in-game price of every item in New Horizons to how much they were being sold for on Nookazon. Variations of the same item (such as the same hat but with different colors) were considered the same item, and stuff that wasn’t for sale on Nookazon was eliminated from their tabulation.

The final list wound up being 2,638 items long with one very surprising item at the top. The Flimsy Net, for whatever reason, has a selling price of 5 million Bells on Nookazon, which represents a 12,500% ROI. We’re not entirely clear on why the Flimsy Net is the most expensive item you can buy on Nookazon when it sells in-game for just 400 Bells, but we know of at least one poor sap who actually paid that ludicrous price.

Other items also provided a handsome return, such as the Handmade Cape which sells for 3 million Bells on Nookazon. That’s an ROI of 6,000%.

But if you really want to make bank on Nookazon, your best bet is to get into the art business. Nine out of 20 of the most profitable things you can sell on Nookazon are art pieces, and they have a tendency to sell much more frequently than Flimsy Nets.
