Rumor: A New Tony Hawk Game Could Drop In 2020

It’s been almost five years since we last saw a new game in the Tony Hawk series, but it appears as if that wait might end sooner than you may have expected. According to a recent leak, a brand new game in the popular skateboarding series is already in the works, and it could be coming out as soon as this year.

A band by the name of The Death Set recently shared on Facebook that they’ve just licensed five new songs to be used in a 2020 Tony Hawk game. The post has since been deleted, but not before it made its rounds across the internet, exciting any Tony Hawk fan that might have stumbled upon it.

Tony Hawk games are known for their memorable soundtracks, and music from a band like The Death Set sounds like something that would pop up in the skating series, but there has obviously been no confirmation that the post was rooted in fact. Still, we doubt the band would make the announcement just to mess with their fans.

This isn’t the only sign that point to a new Tony Hawk game, though. There have also been multiple rumors that remastered versions of the original two Pro Skater games are currently circulating around Activision and are in the prototype stage. On the other hand, another rumor suggests that a brand new Pro Skater game is in the works.

Of course, none of this is substantiated, and Activision and Tony Hawk split back in 2015 after the disastrous release of Tony Hawk‘s Pro Skater 5. Given that, it’s really hard to say whether or not we will be seeing a new game soon, but it’s hard not to put at least a little weight in this collection of rumors.

Fans would love remastered version of the originals, or even a remake of the later entries, such as Underground or American Wasteland. It’s still unclear whether or not the remake is going to happen, but if it does, people are definitely going to be interested in picking the game up.
