Own an Oculus Quest? Grab a Free Month of Viveport Infinity
HTC Vive’s dedicated virtual reality (VR) storefront Viveport isn’t exactly the go-to platform in comparison to rivals like Steam or even the Oculus Store. However, unlike the latter Viveport is hardware agnostic whilst offering a subscription-based service you can’t find anywhere else. This week, Viveport has launched a very limited time offer to court Oculus Quest owners over, a whole month free of Viveport Infinity.
Viveport might not always get the very latest VR titles right away but its Infinity subscription service now boasts plenty of high-quality videogames to choose from. These include Paper Beast, The Room VR: A Dark Matter; The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Moss, Cosmodread and Maskmaker. So the offer is a great way of playing through a bunch of titles if you’re not bothered about having them permanently in your library.
Normally Viveport Infinity offers a 14-day free trial for new users with no obligation to continue the service afterwards. This pop-up offer is specific to Oculus Quest and Quest 2 users, giving them access for one whole month. But you need to activate the deal quick, it’s only live from today until Monday 30th August 2021.
Here are the steps you need to do depending on whether you’ve used Viveport before or not:
For existing VIVEPORT members:
- Login and make sure you have the latest version of VIVEPORT Desktop App (126.96.36.199)
- Plug in/connect your Quest or Quest 2 device
- Accept the promo giveaway, redeem it, and have fun!

For New VIVEPORT members:

The FAQ also points out: “Once you receive a promotional code, you must submit it promptly in order to retain it on your redeem page. And your promotional code must be redeemed by December 31st, 2021, at 23:59pm PST, or it will expire.”
And there you have it, a whole month of free gaming that should keep you busy. Of course, if you like the service you can continue paying for it – kind of the whole point of the offer. It’s an area of the VR market HTC Vive really has to itself at the moment, surprising when you consider how popular subscription-based services are nowadays with the likes of Xbox Game Pass, Netflix, Disney+ and all the others.
VRFocus will continue its coverage of HTC Vive and Viveport, reporting back with the latest updates.
