Nintendo Switch surprise as new Hyrule Warriors game based on Breath of the Wild revealed

Nintendo Switch fans have today seen some surprise news drop out of nowhere, with a brand new Hyrule Warriors game based on Breath of the Wild getting revealed by Ninty.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is being developed by Nintendo and Dynasty Warriors makers KOEI Tecmo, with the upcoming musou game set 100 years before the events of BoTW.

The official Nintendo Twitter accounts revealed the upcoming Hyrule Warriors game, which has a release date this year of November 20.

The Nintendo of Europe Twitter posted: “Introducing #HyruleWarriors: Age of Calamity, coming to #NintendoSwitch on 20/11.

“Witness the events of the Great Calamity first-hand and try to save Hyrule from destruction! #Zelda”.

A first-look at the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive was also revealed in a YouTube video that features Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma.
