K-pop Band BlackPink Is Coming To, Erm, PUBG Mobile

The K-pop girl group sensation Blackpink has come to PUBG Mobile. This collaboration lets fans of the popular battle royale enjoy Blackpink-themed cosmetic items and a preview of their upcoming record The Album.

From September 24th through October 2nd, PUBG Mobile players will be able to enjoy Blackpink’s new single “How You Like That” during in-game lobbies. When The Album (their new album) releases on October 2nd, a new to-be-announced track from the same record will be swapped into lobbies. The game itself will be covered in decorative Blackpink visuals as well – from airdrop planes sporting the group’s logo to supply caches fuming pink wisps of smoke.

The group themselves are involved too. Members Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo all have their own PUBG Mobile accounts to interact with fans. If you’re so inclined, there’s even the option to send the girls collaborative gifts and messages – those that fire off the most will get some sort of special rewards back from the group. However, details on what those rewards actually are won’t be revealed until the event ends on October 9th.

Mission rewards are most exciting bit of this collaboration for Blackpink fans, though. It’s bog-standard daily challenge stuff in terms of what you do, but the spoils are potentially an autographed copy of The Album from Blackpink themselves. The chances of netting that reward are pretty slim, so maybe set your sights a little lower at the in-game Adorable Panda Suit and Killer Cadet Set clothing lines instead. It may not be Blackpink’s autograph, but hey, not many games let you dress up as a panda while pumping people full of lead!

If you’re adamant about snagging an autographed copy, though, attaching the #PUBGMxBLACKPINK hashtag to your PUBG Mobile screenshots on Twitter and Facebook automatically enters you into another contest for one anyway.
