GTA 5 Server Status: Rockstar down and reportedly not working on March 13

Rockstar Games fans are reportedly having issues with GTA Online and Red Dead Online this morning with numerous cases of fans unable to connect to servers or save games.

There's also been a spike of GTA 5 reports on the Independent outage monitor Down Detector, with the majority of issues relating to connection problems with 'Online Play' and a smaller amount with the Rockstar Games 'Social Club'.

The Down Detector outage map says the problems are mainly hitting users in the UK, Europe and some smaller parts of the US on the east coast.

At the time of writing, there's no word on what might be wrong with the servers online service.

From looking at the Rockstar Games server status page, everything is working just fine.

But looking online, on say, Twitter, there are multiple reports of users having issues.

  • Diablo 3 Season 20 Start Time Countdown: Release Date news, Set rewards, tier list, more

  • GTA 5 Online Update: 3x Money bonus, Oppressor Mk2, Rampant Rocket car discounts

One fans of the game wrote: "Unable to connect to @RockstarGames @RockstarSupport Rockstar servers in #RedDeadOnline . Tried multiple times. Suspect a server problem according to #downdetector"

Another added "Are your servers down or something? My GTA online progress Will not Save because something about the rockstar cloud"

Whilst a third said "@RockstarGames @RockstarSupport i cant get on red dead it keeps disconnecting is the servers down because servers site won't load either"

Whatever the issue, it doesn't appear to be widespread like some outages we've seen, but there's certainly fans having problems with the game as of the morning of March 13.

More to follow.
