God Of War Ragnarok’s Collector’s Edition Features A Mjolnir Replica

God of War Ragnarok's collector's edition will feature a replica of Thor's hammer, Mjolnir.

Earlier today, Sony finally gave PlayStation fans the news they've been waiting for – God of War Ragnarok will be launching on November 8, debunking rumours that it had been delayed into 2023. Alongside the release date reveal, it also showed off a short CG trailer, as well as revealing the various editions of the game up for purchase.

Aside from a standard launch version of the game that comes with the Kratos Risen Snow Armor and the Atreus Risen Snow Tunic as bonuses, there's also a Digital Deluxe version that comes with Darkdale outfits and weapon grips, as well as the digital soundtrack and artbook.

So far, so standard. The real interesting pieces come with the God of War Ragnarok Collector's Edition and the even bigger Jötnar edition. The collector's edition comes in a Knowledge Keeper's shrine and contains a steelbook case similar to the first game, this time showing a Bear and a Wolf, clearly representing Kratos and Atreus.

The best part of the collector's edition is that it contains a 16" replica of Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, complete with the unique goat stylings of the handle. Alongside that, it also features two Vanir Twins carvings similar to the toys that Atreus had in the first game, and a set of Dwarven Dice.

Finally, the Jötnar edition of the game features everything from the collector's edition of the game, with some additional goodies, including a seven-inch vinyl containing two tracks from the game, a pin set of the Falcon, Bear and Wolf, a Draupnir ring replica that comes in a red cloth bag, and an upgraded version of the Dwarven dice set that features unique detailing.

Interestingly, despite having been fully detailed and priced, the various versions of the game are not up for pre-order just yet and will instead be made available on July 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM ET.
