Fortnite: Green Goblin arrives to menace Spider-Man

With Spider-Man: No Way Home still fresh in fans’ minds, Fortnite has smartly added long-time baddie Green Goblin as a skin.

Now that Epic Games has finally added Spider-Man to Fortnite, it was really only a matter of time until it included one of his most iconic villains as well.

The Green Goblin was added to the game earlier today and he’s really simple to acquire. Just head to the in-game store and purchase him for 1,500 V-Bucks (just short of £10), which also includes a unique Pumpkin Bomb Back Bling.

Of course, he wouldn’t arrive without some additional accessories. Alongside the skin, you can get a themed pickaxe called the Pumpkin P’axe, an Arm the Pumpkin emote, and his classic glider for you to fly around on.

These can all be purchased separately but since you’re probably looking to get them all anyway if you’re a fan of the character, you can save money with the Green Goblin bundle for 2,100 V-Bucks (around £13.60).

Surprisingly, despite his addition obviously being influenced by Spider-Man: No Way Home, this Goblin skin more is more akin to his classic appearance in the comics, with the purple hat and everything.

Sadly, this means no playable Willem DaFoe. Yes, we’re disappointed too, but maybe that’s something Epic has planned down the line.

The comic look is slightly surprising as one of the Spider-Man skin variants already directly resembles movie actor Tom Holland and MJ’s appearance is based on Zendaya’s portrayal of the character.

It remains to be seen if any other Spider-Man characters will pop up before the current season ends. Although the most recent rumours point to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other Paramount owned characters being in the pipeline.

Fortnite is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Your genius comes at a cost.
