EA Play comes to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate alongside Xbox Series X launch
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate owners can look forward to gaining access to EA Play in a couple of months, with PC users getting it in December.
Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Bethesda will undoubtedly be a massive boost for its Game Pass, and it’s about to look even better come November.
Microsoft announced earlier this month that it was partnering with EA to include EA Play service as part of the Game Pass at no extra cost, and now it’s been confirmed it will become available for Xbox consoles on November 10,
This includes the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, which are released on the same day, meaning Game Pass owners will already have a massive library of games to enjoy on their shiny new consoles from launch.
To be more specific, EA Play will be included with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which costs £10.99 per month, with the first month costing only £1, and allows you to play certain games on Android devices as well.
PC owners will need to wait a little longer, though, and will gain access to the EA Play library in December.
The list of available games from EA alone is very impressive, as it includes the entire Mass Effect series of action role-playing games, small puzzle games like Unravel, and plenty of sports titles from series such as FIFA and NBA.
It should be noted that it’s the basic EA Play subscription that is included with Game Pass and not EA Play Pro, which has some extra benefits.
The basic subscription still allows you to play new EA releases for up to 10 hours before they officially release, which includes the upcoming FIFA 21.
