Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time leaked for PS4 and Xbox One

Real evidence for a new Crash Bandicoot game has finally emerged online, complete with leaked box art and a plot description.

Ever since remaster compilation Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy came out in 2017, and was a huge success, it’s been obvious that Activision would want to follow that up with a new game, and yet they still haven’t announced one.

It’s been rumoured and leaked multiple times, but there’s never been any tangible proof that a new game actually exists… until now.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was discovered on the website of the Taiwanese age rating board by Gematsu, complete with a description of the game and some box art.

Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.

Once the news leaked analyst Daniel Ahmad confirmed that the information was real and that the game will be announced as part of the Summer Game Fest on 22 June. He also confirmed that there’ll be no Switch version, which is surprising.

Also of note is that the Xbox One box implies it’ll run on the Xbox Series X as well, presumably a reference to Xbox Smart Delivery.
