Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio Is Coming To Fortnite

Who would have thought that one day, there would be a game where characters from various universes created by multiple studios would be playing together in harmony under one umbrella? Well, Fortnite's Loop is hardly a harmonious place, but you know what we mean. Fortnite players can do battle against 99 other players as Kratos, Master Chief, She-Hulk, LeBron James, and as of this week, tennis ace Naomi Osaka.

That's really just the tip of the iceberg. However, despite all of that IP, Ubisoft is yet to get in on the fun. Until now, or very soon if a new discovery is anything to go by. Various members of the dedicated Fortnite datamining community have discovered Ezio from Assassin's Creed will soon become a part of the ever-expanding Fortnite universe. You can check out what his skin will look like when it is eventually officially announced below.

Ezio's skin will have two styles. One where he has his hood up and another where it's down so you can see his face. The assassin's pickaxe will naturally be his blades, and they will likely double up as his back bling too. Ezio will also have an emote where he shoots blades out of his sleeve, just like he can do in the Assassin's Creed games, although the Fortnite version of the trick obviously won't inflict any damage.

The even better news is the belief that some people might well be able to get Ezio's Fortnite bundle free of charge. The datamine suggests anyone who buys Assassin's Creed Valhalla or the Dawn Of Ragnarok DLC through the Epic Games Store will be able to unlock the skin and its accouterments without having to spend any V-Bucks. It's currently unclear whether those who already own Valhalla will be able to retroactively cash in on that deal, and if buying it through Epic will be a necessity.

As touched upon above, tennis star Naomi Osaka has been added to Fortnite this week. Osaka's cup took place yesterday and her skins will be added to the in-game store at some point today. As for Ezio, while Epic is yet to officially confirm his Fortnite arrival, the most likely time he'll show up is a week from now. That's when Valhalla's Dawn Of Ragnarok DLC launches, so it may well be a way to coax more people into buying it and trying it out.
