WePlay! Pushka League Season 2 adds a third division for Europe and expands to new regions

Season 2 of WePlay! Pushka League is set to bring more Dota 2 action, with the competition divided into three major regions, each with a slightly different format. 

Teams from China and Southeast Asia will compete in the Asia leg, while Americas will feature teams from both North and South America. Europe and CIS will be the biggest leg, with a total of 16 teams entering the group stage of Division 1, eight teams in Division 2 and eight slots up for grabs via open qualifiers for Division 3.

While the schedule for Asia and Americas divisions is yet to be announced, the Europe and CIS portion of the tournament will unfold August 13 – September 13.

Europe and CIS format

Division 1:

Group stage: 16 teams divided into two groups of eight. Each team will play each other twice in a BO1 round-robin format. Top three teams from each group advance to the Super Finals. The teams placed fourth and fifth in each group place will enter the Play-in Stage to determine two more Super Finals participants.

Super Finals: double-elimination bracket with a prize pool of $210,000. All Super Finals participants will be invited back to Division 1 of WePlay! Pushka League Season 3.

Division 2:

Group stage: 8 teams divided into two groups of four. Each team will play each other twice in a BO1 round-robin format. Top two teams from each group advance to the Relegation bracket between Division 1 and 2, joined by Division 1 teams that placed 6th-8th.

Relegation bracket between Division 1 and 2 has a $50,000 prize pool.

The 3rd and 4th placed teams in the group stage will be placed in the Relegation Bracket between Division 2 and 3.

Division 3:

Eight teams will enter the league through open qualifiers and will be divided into two groups of four. All teams will play each other twice in a BO1 round-robin format. The teams that take first and second place in their groups will advance to the Relegation bracket between Division 2 and 3. The rest will be eliminated. The prize pool of this Relegation bracket will be $5,000. The teams that place between first and fourth place will advance to Division 2 for WePlay! Pushka League Season 3. The rest will be eliminated.

Americas and Asia format

Division 1:

Group stage: 12 teams divided into two groups of six. Each team will play each other twice in a BO1 round-robin format. Top three from each group will advance to the Super Finals. Group winners will be seeded to upper-bracket semifinals and the rest will go to upper-bracket quarterfinals. The teams that take fourth and fifth place in their groups will participate in the Play-in Stage, the winners of which will enter the first round of the Super Finals lower-bracket.

Super Finals: double-elimination bracket with a prize pool of $40,000 in the Americas and $60,000 in Asia. All Super Finals participants will be invited back to Division 1 of WePlay! Pushka League Season 3.

Division 2:

Eight teams coming from open qualifiers will be divided into two groups of four. Each team will play each other twice in a BO1 round-robin format. Top two teams from each group will advance to the Relegation bracket between Division 1 and 2. They will be joined by Division 1 teams that take sixth place, as well as those who were defeated in the Play-in Stage.

Relegation bracket will have a $10,000 prize pool for Americas leg and $15,000 for Asia. The top four teams will advance to Division 1 for WePlay! Pushka League Season 3. The rest will drop to Division 2.

Full line-ups for each of the regions will be announced soon, but starting with the second season, the WePlay! Pushka League will not allow organizations to play with more than one team in each division.
