ViCi & Renegades through to Asia Minor, TYLOO to lower bracket
Renegades and ViCi have qualified for the Asia Minor after coming out on top of the upper-bracket of the Oceania and Greater China Closed Qualifiers.
Renegades pulled off a 3-0 run through the upper-bracket including a 2-1 victory over ORDER to decide who would move on. ORDER kicked off the series with a narrow 16-14 win but would be unable to continue with that momentum, losing the following two maps without getting double digits. Christopher “dexter” Nong led the pack for Renegades with a +10 kill-to-death differential and 87.5 average damage per round, the highest in the server. ORDER’s Alistair “aliStair” Johnston was next on the list in terms of ADR at 83.2.
It was an expected battle between ViCi and TYLOO in the Greater China Qualifier with ViCi picking up the opening map in dominant fashion 16-8. TYLOO managed to bounce back on Mirage, securing a victory in the latter part of the game 16-13. In the end, ViCi would close out the series with a 16-9 victory on Train and earn their spot in the Asia Minor. Andrew “Kaze” Khong had a dominant performance, posting a +23 k/d alongside 98.1 ADR, followed closely by Weijie “zhokiNg” Zhong who netted 95.6 ADR.
TYLOO could still qualify via the lower bracket.
