Team Sirius change two players, welcome old chicken in the carry position
As there are just two sets of Dota Pro Circuit qualifiers left on the schedule, and results are yet to come for Team Sirius, more roster changes were announced.
“Although it’s the middle of the season, it is not too late for us to have a dream. We will work hard for the next set of tournaments,” Team Sirius’ official post on their Weibo page roughly translates. The carry and the position 5 support players, Lin “doodle”‘ Zikai and Cheng “Mad” Han respectively, were thanked for their contribution and replaced with Wang “old chicken” Zhiyong and Xiao “XCJ” Chaojian.
Team Sirius current roster:
- Wang “old chicken” Zhiyong
- Deng “Dstones” Lei
- Hu “dolem” Sen
- Xu “hym” Zhi
- Xiao “XCJ” Chaojian
- Coach: Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng
Ever since 2015, when he made his breakout, old chicken was for most of the time a member of EHOME. He often swapped between the carry and mid role, and he got to fight under the EHOME banner at the Frankfurt Major, the Shanghai Major, TI6 and at the Boston Major. After a disastrous result in the TI8 open qualifiers, old chicken went on loan to Keen Gaming and placed with them 3rd at the Bucharest Minor and 9-12 at both DreamLeague Stockholm Major and MDL Disneyland® Paris Major. With old chicken in the carry position, Keen gaming made it to The International 2019 via DPC points but got eliminated only bottom four. In the post TI9 aftermath, he’s been replaced from the Keen Gaming line-up and hasn’t played for any other organization until now.
