[Rumor] Fy might have left PSG.LGD Gaming
It seems like PSG.LGD can’t catch a break this season. After skipping the first round of Dota Pro Circuit tournaments and a complete disaster in the open qualifiers for the next two Majors on the schedule, one of the finest Chinese Dota 2 teams takes another hit, reportedly.
According to a few words flying out from Sun “Agressif” Zheng’s mouth during a stream session, PSG.LGD Gaming are in need of a position 4 player. Right after the rumor got out on Agressif’s stream, fans spread the news on the Chinese community forum NGA.
If what Agressif spilled is true, it means that PSG.LGD’s captain Xu “fy” Linsen has either left the roster or has changed the role and somebody else is about to be replaced.
However, ever since his starting days at Vici Gaming back in 2012, and through all VG secondary squads he played for until he joined PSG.LGD, Fy has never played any other role than support 4. So it’s unlikely for him to look for a role swap now. A couple of days after they placed third at The International 2019, PSG.LGD announced a three months break and their decision to skip the first Major of the new season to give their captain time to recover from eye surgery.
Earlier this month just ahead of the open qualifiers of ESL One Los Angeles Major, PSG.LGD made a rather shocking decision to let Wang “Ame” Chunyu go to CDEC gaming, while they recruited Li “ASD” Zhiwen, but placed him in the middle lane. Lu “Maybe” Yao took the carry role, but unsuccessfully, as the team is yet to qualify for a Major or a Minor this season.
No official comments were made by either PSG.LGD or Fy regarding this new possible roster change. There are just two rounds of qualifiers left on the DPC schedule and the next one is set to unfold sometime at the end of March, after the LA Major.
