Morris Garages Sponsors Bilibili Gaming LPL Team

SAIC Motor’s automobile brand Morris Garages (MG) announced Monday that it has signed an exclusive sponsorship deal with Chinese esports organization Bilibili Gaming (BLG) for its League of Legends Pro League (LPL) team. MG will act as the BLG’s exclusive automobile partner, and the MG logo will be placed on the right shoulder of team jerseys.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MG was created by The British Motor Corporation (BMC) in 1952, and lastly acquired by Shanghai-based SAIC Motor Corporation in 2007. In fact, BLG has become the fifth LPL team that has an automobile sponsorship. The other four sponsorships are: “Royal Never Give-Up X Mercedes-Benz;” “FunPlus Phoenix X BMW;” “Top Esports X Audi;” and “Invictus Gaming X Chevrolet.”

Bilibili Gaming is owned by the Chinese video platform Bilibili (the Chinese equivalent Youtube). In the early part of this year, Ping An Bank, one of the biggest Chinese commercial banks, signed a title sponsorship deal with BLG as the name of Ping An featured behind BLG during the LPL.
