League of Legends: Nisqy Joins Fnatic Ahead of 2021 LEC Season
Former Cloud9 mid laner Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer has joined Fnatic ahead of the 2021 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) season, the organization revealed earlier today. Nisqy will return to Europe to compete with Fnatic in the LEC after previously playing for the organization’s Academy side in 2017.
Nisqy signed with Cloud9 prior to the 2019 season, making his first career move to compete in North America. The mid laner spent two years with Cloud9, placing 3-4th in the 2019 Spring split and second in that year’s Summer split before attending his first World Championship. Cloud9 bowed out of Worlds 2019 in 9-12th place.
After a couple roster changes, Cloud9 returned to the LCS’s 2020 stage better than ever. The team dominated the Spring split, losing only one regular season match before winning the split title. The team then placed fourth in the 2020 Summer season, narrowly missing out on a spot at Worlds.
Cloud9 released Nisqy earlier this month to make way for G2 Esports star Luka “Perkz” Perković, who will take over the team’s mid lane position for the 2021 LCS season.
“Nisqy is a top quality mid laner that has done an amazing job in Cloud9,” says Fnatic League of Legends team director Javier “dardo” Zafra. “He has the perfect mix of skill and personality that will improve the team a lot for 2021 and beyond, so we’re thrilled to add him to our starting roster.”
Nisqy will make his Fnatic debut in the 2021 LEC Spring split, which is expected to begin sometime early next year.
