Havan Liberty set a new Dota 2 networth record with over 93,000 gold lead

Havan Liberty, a relatively new competitor in the South American scene, but with a roster featuring established players in the region, registered a new record in the history of professional Dota 2 last night at BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas.

The SA team, led by Heitor “Duster” Pereira, dragged Thunder Predator to a super late game scenario in the first match of their two game series in the group play of the tournament and slowly recovered from an 8k gold deficit to become the team that holds, for now, the record for gold advantage in a professional game. The game came to an end at the 73 minute mark with Havan Liberty holding a 93,431 gold lead over their adversaries.

Leonardo “RdO” Fernandes’s super farmed Sven had nearly double the networth of Thunder Predator’s carry Chaos Knight, sitting at 62.9K, while Alonso “Mnz” León on CK, although six slotted as well, had 33.5K networth. It is worth mentioning that by the end of the game, all five Havan Liberty heroes had the Aghanim’s buff on them, while in the opposite team there was just one hero holding an Aghanim’s Scepter, namely Tidehunter.

Prior to the game from last night, the record for networth advantage in a professional game was held by another South American team. Ego Boys won about 10 months ago a best-of-one tiebreaker in the South America closed qualifiers for the Leipzig Major with 91K gold advantage over Gorillaz-Pride.

Before the SA teams mind numbing figures, the highest networth advantage was recorded in The International 2017 North America regional qualifiers by Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao’s Team NP, who took down Digital Chaos at the end of a 110 minutes game with a 90K gold advantage. Interestingly enough, in that game, it wasn’t EE-sama on the most farmed hero, but Adrian “Fata” Trinks on a 57.8K networth Shadow Fiend.
