Chet retires from coaching CSGO
Chet “Chet” Singh has revealed his decision to step down as the head coach of 100 Thieves and away from competitive CSGO. “Today I retire from competitive CS:GO. A decision I’ve thought about for a while,” he said in a tweet marking the announcement.
The former Evil Geniuses and NRG coach had been with 100 Thieves for only four months. The 24-year-old was brought on board to replace Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović following his departure from Evil Geniuses.
During his time with 100 Thieves the team had both good and bad results with the peaks coming in wins over Liquid, Evil Geniuses, and FURIA in ESL Pro League Season 12 where they fell in a rematch against FURIA in the grand finals to finish in second place.
It’s expected that the now retired CSGO coach will make the move to VALORANT. He’d previously planned to do so but the offer to stick with CSGO and coach 100 Thieves came through and he elected to give it a go.
