Beats By Dre Sponsors TOP Esports for League of Legends Worlds Championship

During the knockout stage of the current League of Legends World Championship on Saturday, Apple-owned headphone brand Beats By Dre was featured on the right shoulder of Chinese League of Legends team TOP Esports’ team jerseys.

After TES defeated European team Fnatic in a best-of-five game achieving the first reverse sweep in Worlds history (From a 0:2 disadvantage with a three-match win streak), TES announced that Beats By Dre has become the sixth official sponsors of the team, alongside carmaker FAW-Audi, DouYu, diary brand An Mu Xi, Logitech G, and TOP Sports, also the parent company of TES.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TES players will not wear Beats By Dre headsets at the League of Legends global events because, in September, Riot Games signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with headset maker Bose, which named the company as an official partner of the Worlds 2020 Mid-Season Invitational, and All-Star Event.

TES will continue its journey at Worlds 2020 and against fellow LPL team Suning Esports (SN) at the semi-finals. No matter who wins at the semi-finals, there will be an LPL team in the grand final of the event.
