An easy trick makes winning simpler in the Gulag of Call of Duty: Warzone

While Apex Legends may have started the trend of respawning in battle royales, Call of Duty: Warzone has improved upon it. Not only can players buy back a fallen teammate, but you can also respawn yourself by winning a 1v1 in the Gulag. Laid out like the Gunfight map from Modern Warfare, the Gulag is a 1v1 between you and another dead player. The mode gives you a random class loadout, and the victor returns to the match. While there are some concrete ways to improve your chances in the Gulag, there’s one simple tip you can do before every match.

How to make Gulag fights easier in Warzone

Last week, we went over a crazy strategy that you can pull off from the spectator’s side of the Gulag. While this doesn’t have a direct impact on your re-entry into the match, it’s a neat way to affect the outcome of a fight.

However, with this new strategy, you can make it much easier to win your fight in the Gulag. This simple trick comes from a user on Reddit and can come in quite handy in nearly all of your fights.

        • Don’t waste your time punching enemies in the gulag! Give them a tag and make them easier to see 😉

The clip shows one player tagging their opponent with a brightly colored spray. Then, when the two go to 1v1 in the Gulag, the opponent becomes much easier to see in the dark shadows. Of course, this only works when you know who your opponent will be.

So, if there are a lot of people waiting to 1v1, this strategy won’t work as well. You can still spray as many spectators as possible, but there’s no surefire way to guess which opponent you’ll fight. However, if you do know who you’re facing, simply walk up to them, tag them with a yellow or white spray, then wait for your match. You can customize your sprays from the Warzone lobby.
