Adroit part ways with Natsumi mid group play at OMEGA League Asia Divine division
Team Adroit continue to tinker with their roster despite having their schedule fully booked with official matches at the OMEGA League Asia Divine division.
Adroit’s first roster change since the team was put together came less than a month ago when Jun “Bok” Kanehara was replaced in the offlane by Prince Vince “Bensoy” Enriquez. With their new recruit, Adroit placed fourth at the end of last month in the Southeast Asia World Esports Elite Competition.
On the 1st of August they entered the battle for the Asia Division of OMEGA League title, being seeded in Group A along with Neon Esports, Reality Rift, 496 Gaming, Cignal Ultra and Execration. They started the group play on the wrong foot and got bested 2-1 by Neon in the opening series and 2-0 by 496 gaming on the next day.
However, they recovered with the next two series and at the end of all their group stage matches, they sit on the third place with a total of 4 points gathered and likely to advance to the playoffs lower bracket.
While Adroit finished their group matches, the battle for a spot into the playoffs continues for the rest of the teams, but with about one week at their disposal until the second stage of the tournament, the team announced the departure of John Anthony “Natsumi-” Vargas.
“Natsumi is no doubt, one of SEA’s young and promising talents. His Dota 2 prowess helped us win the Gold Medal in the 30th SEA Games and qualify for the Majors. We wish him nothing but the best in whatever he chooses to do from here on forth, “ posted Team Adroit on their official Facebook page today, August 11, without giving any hint on who might replace him in the carry role for the playoffs stage of the OMEGA League Asia Divine division.
